Abstract

Democratic leadership styles are important in a company and organization. With the existence of democratic leadership style, it will make employees feel comfortable at work, with job satisfaction can make the employee's work level increase. With the Democratic Leadership Style, it is expected to increase Job Satisfaction at Employees at Ayam Resto Restaurant, Adi Soemarmo Klodran Colomadu Karanganyar. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling, the number of subjects in this study were 100 people. The method uses a quantitative approach with a scale measuring instrument. That is the Job Satisfaction scale and the scale of the Democratic Leadership Style. The analysis technique used is the Product Moment correlation of Pearson. The calculation results obtained the correlation coefficient value of r = 0.551 with sig. = 0,000; p <0.01, shows that there is a very significant positive relationship between democratic leadership style and job satisfaction. Effective contribution of democratic leadership style to job satisfaction is 30.4% and the remaining 69.4% is influenced by other variables, democratic leadership style has an empirical average of 43.32 and a hypothetical average of 37.5. This shows that the democratic leadership style in the research subject is relatively high. Job satisfaction has an empirical average of 73.92 with a hypothetical average of 65. This shows that work satisfaction in the research subject is relatively high
