Abstract

Talking about the Islamic education system in Indonesia especially in boarding school means we are talking about how the Islamic education system can compete with existing systems in this modern era. One of the challenges of the Islamic education system is the consisting of separation between the religious and the common sciences (the dichotomy of science) and also the competition among the existing Islamic education system. The education system has recently become a much discussion topic by educational figures because with a good education system 2 will produce qualified learners. The author here will discuss about the education system, especially the education system applied in Pondok Pesantren Al-Fattah Kikil Arjosari Pacitan. So the author took the title "Pondok Pesantren Al-Fattah Kikil Arjosari Pacitan (Case Study of Islamic Education System)" In this study, the problem which what is the Islamic education system applied in Pondok Pesantren Al- Fattah Kikil Arjosari and what are the supporting and obstructing factors. Aims to describe the system of Islamic education applied in Pondok Pesantren Al-Fattah Kikil Arjosari Pacitan and several supporting and obstructing factors. This research type is a field study. Data collection methods using interviews, observation and documentation, and data analysis with qualitative descriptive. Based on data analysis, this pesantren applies curriculum of 2013 and salafi curriculum characteristic which is strongly maintains learning of yellow books. The varying methods used such as lecture, sorogan, active learning, and others. The Islamic education system that this pesantren implies shows that in order to maintain its existence, pesantren combines or collaborates between traditional and modern Islamic education system. To realize the vision and mission of pondok pesantren Al-Fattah Kikil Arjosari. The supporting and obstructing factors are: 1). Internal factors, consisting of teachers exsistent, foundation rules and factors from santri themselves, 2). External factors, consisting of santri’s family, outside the dormitory friends and the surrounding environment around the cottage.
