Abstract
The objective of the research are: (1) to describe the implementation of poster session strategy on the learning of science class III SDN Tunggulsari I Surakarta for the academic year 2017/2018; (2) to describe the obstacles faced in the implementation of the poster session strategy in the learning of Science Class III SDN Tunggulsari I Surakarta for the academic year 2017/2018. The research approach in qualitative with qualitative descriptive research type. The data collecting researcher use observation method, interview, and documentation. The data analysis of researchers using qualitative descriptive by reducing the data and the display data in the form of brief descriptions and concluded flexible to answer the formulation of existing problems. The validity of data is done by using technique trianggulation. The result of research indicates that: (1) the implementation of poster session strategy in science learning class III is divided into three stages, that is first step by preparing the material and equipment to be used in science lessonn, second stage of teacher doing science learning activity related to study material, the last by applying the poster session strategy on science learning so that students are more active and anthusiastic in following the learning; (2) obstacles faced by teachers is the optimization of time and student conditioning in implementing the poster session strategy on science learning. Solutions to overcome these obstacles with teachers optimizing science learning to fit the specified time allocation. Evaluation conducted in the form of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.
