Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of code transfer and code interference in the tourism pamphlet in Klaten, and describes the factors that influence the occurrence of code transfer and code intercepts. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research is a word or sentence with the transfer of code and mix code. Sources of data in this study taken from the text that is in the pamphlet of tourism. Data collection techniques in this study using documentary techniques in the form of writing, pictures, and photographs that are in the pamphlet. Data analysis techniques in this study using this technique of text analysis that is in the pamphlet of tourism. The validity of the data in this study using technique triangulation. The result of the research showed that (1) the researcher found 66 data containing code and code mix in the tourism pamphlet in Klaten area, 42 data in Prambanan Temple tourism place, 21 data at tourism place Umbul Ponggok. Furthermore, the researcher found 3 data in tourism place of Tomb of Pandanaran. (2) The form of code transfer and code mixing is the form of word code, phrase, clause, and sentence, but more dominant words and phrases. Mixed form of word code, phrases, clauses, and sentences, but more dominant sentences. Next form the code transfer and mix the code on words, phrases, and sentences. (3) factors affecting code transfer and code mixing are different situations, different countries use different language, language factor to attract visitors, and situation factor because it still holds tightly to Javanese culture custom. Based on the results of the analysis proved that the use of code transfer and mixed code in the tourism pamphlet in the Klaten region, especially in the tourist sites of Prambanan Temple.
