Abstract

Analytic geometry is a field of study of the result of a combination of geometry and algebra. In the learning, analytic geometry is divided into two, namely the analytical geometry of the field and the analytical geometry of space. Metacognition as one of the factors influencing academic achievement. Metacognition ability is very important owned by every student, because it relates to the independence in learning. In Mathematics Education Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, analytical geometry is a subject that must be taken by students. However, judging from the fact that happening nowadays in the process of lecturing, from year to year academic achievement of students in the field of Analytical Geometry Field is still low. One way that can be done is to use a Metacognition based Student Sheet (LKM). The purpose of this research is to develop a Metaphysical Geometry Analytical Field based on valid metacognition, to know the feasibility, and to know the assessment of the students. This type of research is development research. This study uses a model ADDIE comprising the steps of analysis (analysis), design (design), development (development), and evaluation (evaluation). The designed LKM is validated by media experts, material experts, and metacognition experts as well as student responses using questionnaire instruments. From the results of the research, it is found that LKM-based metacognition in the field of Analytical Geometry Field has been valid and feasible.
