Abstract
The success of the education system is seen from the performance of a teacher. Each individual has different internal conditions. The internal conditions of teachers affect their daily activities. One of the internal conditions is motivation. This study aims to determine the relationship of work motivation to the performance of teachers in the District of Colomadu in 2018. This research includes the type of descriptive correlational research. Data collection is done through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The population was 166 teachers and 62 samples were taken by purposive proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the data analysis, the correlation coefficient (rxy) is 0.716, which means that there is a strong positive relationship. Work motivation with teacher performance has sig value. 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected. The decision there is a correlation or relationship between work motivation and teacher performance. Based on the analysis with simple linear regression obtained a relative contribution of 51.2%.
