Abstract

Patients with mental disorders can actually recover and return to the community. The recovery of psychiatric patients is influenced by internal and external factors. External factors, especially the family has a very important role to the healing of patients with mental disorders. But the field shows that in general the dukungn family of patients with mental disorders are relatively low, so it is necessary efforts to increase family support for mental disorders patients. This study aims to determine whether there is influence of health promotion to improve knowledge of attitude and tendency to bertilil on family members whose members have been in the pasega in Klaten regency. This research is a quantitative research using one-group design pre-post test design. The population of the study were 32 families whose family members had postpartum psychiatric patients in Klaten Regency. The sample of the study were 32 families determined using total sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaire instrument, while data analysis used paired sample t-test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The 2 conclusion of the study is that there is a significant effect of health promotion on the improvement of knowledge, attitude and the tendency to behave about postpartum patient care on the family with the paska pasung family member in Klaten Regency.
