Abstract
This research has two aims, they are (1) to describe comissive speech act of children to their parents in Javanese, (2) To describe the politeness of utterance between children and their parents in Javanese. The type of this research isdiscriptive qualitative. The strategy in this research uses content analysis. The resourch of the data in this research is The researcher used intervieiew, observation and documentation to collect the data. The different social background also used for analyze the form of comissive speech acts. The observations done to deepen social context as well as that behind of speech act. While the photographs of the child and parents when they were communicating, are used to indentify the comissive utterance. Kind of comissive atterance isintending,promissing, swearing, threatening and vowed. The result shows that comissive utterance between children and parents can beformedwords and context thatstated comissive. Based on the results and discussion, the researchers founds that conversation between children and perents in Javanese there are commissive speech acts. There are 28 data of intending, 5 data of promissing, one dantum of swearing, 2 data of threatening and 2 data of vowed.
