ANALISIS KESULITAN MAHASISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL UJIAN TENGAH SEMESTER KALKULUS DIFERENSIAL (Penelitian Kualitatif Di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2017/2018). Skripsi. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Mei, 2018. The aims of research are to describe students' difficulties in solving the mid-term of differential Calculus exam and to analyze the factors causing it. The research is a descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the research are the students of Mathematics Education Department of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta for academic year 2017/2018. The methods of entering data which in this research are interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and deduction of conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the students experienced hardship: (1) understanding: (2) operations related to manipulating numbers, symbols and operations, multiplication of money, root shapes. The Factors that causing students to have difficulties the students are still confused in separating concepts, students have not understood rational numbers, mistaken in the list of symbols on the boundary and continuity, students are less thorough, and lack of concentration in handling the semester test of differential calculus.
