Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) Implementation of principal managerial competence in preparing school development plan toward special program school in MI Muhammadiyah Bolon, (2) Headmaster’s obstacle in applying managerial competence in preparing school development paln toward speial program school in MI Muhammadiyah Bolon, (3) Principal solutions in applying managerial competence to overcome obstacles in preparing school development paln in MI Muhammadiyah Bolon. Type qualitative research descriptive design. Techniques of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data is examined for data validity, using triagulation, with verification and checking on reference coverage. Analytical technique using interactive model. The results of this research are: (1) Implementation of competence owned by MI Muhammadiyah Bolon principal that is preparation of program planning, school organizing, school management toward effective learning, curriculum development management, student management. (2) Obstacles to apply the managerial competence of principal MI Muhammadiyah Bolon namely the management of infrastructure facilities, view of differences of perception, labor constraints. (3) The pricipal of MI Muhammadiyah Bolon principal overcoming the obstacles to building, integrating differences, providing additional teacher tasks and selection of new teachers.
