Abstract
Background: The Achilles tendon IS from three muscles: gastrocnemius, soleus, and plantar muscle. The Achilles tendon is the strongest and thickest tendon in the human body. This tendon thickness is about 15 cm (5.9 inches) and close to the center of the calf. This tendon attaches to the bone of the calcaneus and causes the foot to tiptoe (plantar flexi) as the calf muscles contract. Objectives: The implementation of Physiotherapy is reduce the pain, increase the LGS of joint motion, and restore functional state in cases of inflammation of the Achilles tendon dextra by using UltraSound modality. Results: After 6 th therapy, there was a decrease in pain of tenderness with a result of T1 = 3.3 to T6 = 1.5. And decrease of motion pain with result at T1 = 4,7 to T6 = 2,5. There is an increase of LGS in the ankle during active dorsiflexion with the result of T1 = 10 to T6 = 15. And active plantarflextion with result T1 = 30 to T6 = 45, then increase of LGS on ankle during passive dorsiflexion with result T1 = 15 to T6 = 15. at the moment of passive plantarflextion with the result of T1 = 40 to T6 = 55. Conclusion: Ultrasound (US) can reduce pain, and increase the LGS of motion the joints.
