Abstract

Psychological problems arise in the elderly especially if the elderly do not find solutions to problems that arise because of the effects of aging. Pain is not considered, not needed, the inability to accept the reality such as pain that does not heal, the death of a spouse, it includes the elderly elderly that must be faced. Especially for the elderly who entered retirement would have many changes in his life. This study aims to determine the relationship of organizational activity with psychological well-being of elderly PWRI member of Western part Sambungmacan Sragen. This research is quantitative using descriptive correlative design and cross sectional approach. The study population was 47 elderly all elderly who were members of the PWRI organization in Sambungmacan Sragen Sub-district. The sample of research is 47 elderly which is determined using total sampling technique. Research data collection using questionnaire instrument, while data analysis using Chi Square test. The results obtained Chiobs for 10,219 (p-value = 0,006) so that H0 rejected. The conclusion of the research that there was an association of activeness of association with psychological well-being of elderly PWRI member of west part of Sambungmacan Sragen subdistrict, that is the higher level of activeness, hence the level of prosperity of the elderly increases.
