Abstract

This research paper is aimed at describing English teaching learning process by using bilingual method to the fourth year students of SD AL – AZHAR SYIFA BUDI SOLO In this research, the writer conducted descriptive qualitative research. It aims at collecting information of a phenomenon which occurred. The methods of collecting data are observation, document, and interview. There are two types of data, primary and secondary. The data are all information relate to the English teaching learning process by using bilingual in fourth year student of SD AL – AZHAR SYIFA BUDI SOLO. The result of the research paper are; 1) the description of the implementation of teaching English using bilingual System especially in English teaching to the fourth year student of SD AL – AZHAR SYIFA BUDI SOLO in 2007/2008 academic year. 2)The research shows there are common problems found in teaching learning process. They are the variation of teaching technique, the teaching materials, and students’ mentality.Moreover, Bilingual method implemented by the teacher was appropriate for the fourth year students of SD AL– AZHAR SYFA BUDI SOLO
