Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the mental health among pregnant women through anxiety, depression and subjective well-being. The subject is 100 of pregnant women whom lives in Banjarnegara. The research design used was mix methode explanatoris sequencial strategy, where quantitative data were collected and analized first, followed by collected and analized qualitative data after. The data was collected using Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (TMAS), Subjective Well-Being (SWB) and guide interview made by researcher. The data was analized using frequency and crosstabulation for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The result of this study is 45% pregnant women have depression in the state of normal mood swing, 57% don’t have anxiety and 50% have a state of average subjective well-being. Most of pregnant women have a state of normal mental health, although some of them have a mental health issues. Mental health among pregnant women can be affected by the quality of their relationship with people around them, such as their husband, parents, parent-in-law, friends and neighbors.

Additional Information: Informan penelitian ini adalah 100 orang ibu hamil yang diperoleh dengan cara simple random sampling yaitu sampel dimana sampel dari suatu populasi memiliki peluang yang sama untuk terpilih dalam penelitian. Dari 100 responden tersebut, akan dipilih 4 responden untuk diteliti lebih mendalam dengan wawancara. (Hayes, 2000).
