Abstract
In small and medium industries, planning a product becomes an obstacle if it is not in accordance with the wishes of users and the production process time will be disrupted. Similar situation is also experienced by SME Mr. Tardjokartono whose production process there are constraints due to the length of production time and equipment that is still traditional. Therefore this study aims to design the desired tools by consumers related to the process of making emping melinjo and make comparison of the tools used now with the tools of the design. The method used is Quality Function Deployment (QFD), where in the determination phase of QFD attribute also use questionnaire. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the attributes are respectively namely; speed up the process, easy to move, durable, strong load-bearing, lightweight, easy to use, affordable price, material easily obtained with the value of weight in a row for; 6, 4.8, 4,5, 4, 3,6, 3, 3, 3 .. Besides the advantages in this design tool there are 2 things in the form of physical and non physical excess. Physical advantages of form, scoop, weight of the girders, materials, tool laying and dimensions. Then the non physical excess or the result of the melinjo chips include the amount of output, stripping time, the flush, the quality, the use, the workings, the shell's skin and the process.
