Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period of development which took place sice 10 and 11 years old or even more. This period is also often referred to as time-prene by negative influences such as drugs, crime and sex crimes. Often some of teenager who fall on negative behaviors. So many teenagers end up doing delinquency. Many factors cause juvenile delinquency, one of which is due to influence of peers. This is because teens try to identifies himself with them or conformity so that they can be a part and be accepted in the group. Therefore, this research is done to: (1) to know the relation between peers conformity and Juvenile delinquency adolescents in Gonilan village, Kartasura, Sukoharjo; (2) to know the level of conformity Peers; (3) to know the level of the Juvenile delinquency; (4) to know effective contributiopn of peer conformity to juvenile deliquency. The approach in this research is kuantitatif correlational. The sample is all of the population which 97 respondents. Retrieving data using two Likert scale: the scale of conformity comprising 29 item and fallen 1, and Juvenile delinquency’s scale consisting of 31 item with 9 item fall. The result of the correlation between two variables using correlation product moment, correlation (rxy) = 0,666 and significant (p) = 0,000 (p < 0,001) The conclusions shows that there is no correlation between peers conformity with juvenile delinquency adolescents in Gonilan village, Kartasura, Sukoharjo. This means the hypothesis is rejected.
