Abstract

Introduction : Hypertension is a condition when a person’s systolic pressure is140 mmHg or more. Or the diastolic pressure is 90 mmHg or more. Or they are taking hypertension medication and it is influenced by several factors. Objective : This study aims to determine the correlation between educational level and family support with anxiety levels of hyertension patients. Method :This research is a quantitative research using cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at health center of Banyuanyar Surakarta. The sample are 92 respondents suffering from hypertension. Sampling in this research using random sampling method by obeservation using demographic data and quetionnaire. Data analysis technique that is udsed is rank spearman. Result :The correlation between educational level and anxiety level is -0,452. This means that there is a negative correlation, the higher the education level of the respondent the lower the anxiety. Whilw the correlaton between family support and anxiety level is-0,698. This means that there is a negative direction of the correlation, the higher the support of the respondent’s family the lower the level of anxiety. Conclusion : In conclusion there is a relationship between educational level and family support with anxiety level of hypertension patients.
