Abstract
The purpose of this study are (1) Describe the structure of poetry on Asmaradana'spoem collection by Goenawan Mohamad. (2) Describe the form of imagery in Asmaradana's poem collection by Goenawan Mohamad. (3) Describe the use and meaning of images on Asmaradana's rhyme collection by Gonawan Mohamad. (4) Describe the implementation of the imagery on Asmaradana's poem by Goenawan Mohamad as an Indonesian language teaching material in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The object studied in this research is the poem contained in Asmaradana's poem collection by Goenawan Mohamad. Sources of data in this study is a collection of poems Asmaradana works Goenawan Mohamad. Data collection techniques in this study using library techniques and record. Data analysis technique used in this research is using hermeneutic technique. The results of this study are (1) the form of images used in Asmaradana's poems by Goenawan Mohamad's works ie visual imagery, hearing images, movement imagery, touch images, olfactory imagery, imagery imaging, and intellectual imagery. (2) the structure of poetry in this study uses theme, taste, tone, and message. (3) the use and meaning contained from this study using sensory devices such as eyes, nose, ears, and tongue. (4) the implementation of Asmaradanakarya Goenawan Mohamad's poetry collection can be implemented in the learning of Indonesian class X second semester.
