Abstract
The background of this research is the phenomenon of widespread unified Islamic schools that implement school programs all day (full day). Implementation of this school model all day is still much that has not been followed by the making of the program to balance the emotional and social development of students. The average school is still too focused on the cognitive. The purpose of this study is to: (1) describe the characteristics of the system of Full day school education in MTsN Sumberlawang that run so far. (2) describe the characteristics of managing the emotional and social aspects of the Full day school education system at MTsN Sumberlawang. (3) to describe what are the obstacles in managing the emotional and social aspects of the Full day school education system at MTsN Sumberlawang. (4) to describe what supporters in the management of emotional and social aspects of the Full day School program at MTsN Sumberlawang. Subjects in this study were full day students in MTs Negeri Sumberlawang Class VII, VIII, and IX. Data collection techniques used are interviews, and observation as the main method and documentation, questionnaires and archives as a method of support. Qualitative descriptive analysis is used as data analysis technique. To ensure the validity of the data used techniques of observational persistence and triangulation. The results of the research: (1) The management of the full day program organized by MTs Negeri Sumberlawang in general still emphasizes the learning on the cognitive aspect and has not created programs for the development of affective, psychomotoric, and character education aspects. (2) In general, the management of emotional and social aspects of the full day learning system at MTsN Sumberlawang already exists such as outbound and MABIT activities held every year. However, the management of emotional and social aspects in the daily learning of the full day program still does not exist. (3) Inhibiting factors of full day implementation include: the lack of understanding of education managers about the meaning of full day school is actually, Creativity of teachers in managing the full day class is still not optimal, many full-time students who do not participate TPA because the return time is already afternoon, full day can keep students socializing with their neighbors. (4) Supporting factors of full day system include: teachers can teach spirituality values in more frequencies, students get more knowledge than regular classes, facilitate teachers in supervising the behavior of students, keep students in the supervision of teachers at school by doing positive things.
