Abstract

One of the strategies to overcome Maternal Mortality Rate and Neonatal Mortality Rate is to carry out complete pregnancy check up examination or Ante Natal Care (ANC). ANC is a caring which given to all pregnant woman before birth for achieving best result for the mother and baby. With ANC, we could detect some pregnancy anomalies and make the intervention will be given sooner. This research purposed to analyze the association between age and educational degree towards pregnant woman obedience in doing complete ANC at Pekajangan's Islamic Hospital. An observational analytic design with utilization of case control as an approach was conducted is this research. Sample used were 100 pregnant woman at Pekajangan's Islamic Hospital with purposive sampling technique. From 100 individuals, the majority of them are 20-35 age woman, and group of low educational degree. Chi square results, the P value for age aspect is 0,130, and 0,007 for education aspect. Therefore, the conclusion is no correlation between the age of pregnant woman wih their obedience in doing complete ANC at Pekajangan's Islamic Hospital, nevertless there was an association between educational degree of the pregnant woman with their obedience in doing complete ANC.
