Abstract

Turnover intention always become organizational problems in coorporate and government. The research is proposed to test the relationship of cultural organization and work satisfaction with turnover intention for Surakarta civil officers. The main hypothesis in this research is the existence of relationship between cultural organization and work satisfaction for Surakarta civil officers. Then, minor hypothesis are: 1. The existence of negative relationship between cultural organization with turnover intention at Surakarta civil officers. next 2. The existence of negative relationship between work satisfaction with turnover intention at Surakarta civil officers. The research method used is quantitative method. Population found in this research is Surakarta civil officers who work in subdistricts and villages with 145 people as total samples. Research subject determination uses turnover intention questionnaire, cultural organization and work satisfaction. Data analysis technique applied is multiple regression statistical analysis technique and stepwise regression analysis with SPSS 16.0 program. According to the result, it can be concluded that there is a very significant relationship between cultural organization and work satisfaction with Surakarta civil officers turnover intention. Analysis variables show that there is a very significant negative relationship between cultural organization with Surakarta civil officers turnover intention. Moreover, significant negative relationship is found between work satisfactory with Surakarta civil officers turnover intention. This proves that the stronger cultural organization and work satisfaction are, the lower level of turnover intention will be. Cultural organization variable has dominant effect in decreasing level of Surakarta civil officer turnover intention.
