Abstract
Memorizing the Qur'an is a cognitive process that involves the role of the brain in it. But the fact is there are individuals who are able to memorize the 30 juz Qur'an with limitations on brain function. This shows that not only the cognitive factors that influence the process of memorizing the Qur'an, but also other factors related to psychological memorization of the Qur'an, such as motivation, interest, ability to respond to disorders, as well as other supporting factors such as environment and method to memorize. Psychological factors in the learning process is very important because it affects the level of individual concentration. Psychological factors are related to the ability to manage themselves to stay focused on the goals they want to achieve or in terms of psychology is called self-regulation. This study will reveal how self-regulation affects the process of memorizing the Qur'an to the blind of the memorization of Al-Qur'an, as well as the obstacles encountered in the process of memorizing the Qur'an and how to solve it. Approach in this research use descriptive qualitative phenomenology with informant consist of 4 people taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observation. As a result, in general, blind recipients of the Qur'an have good self-regulation proven by defining clear goals, implementing strategies, self-monitoring, self-evaluation, utilizing sources of motivation, the environment, and existing resources. The obstacles that emerged can be overcome by informants by arranging time, innovation, introspection, self evaluation, learning ikhas, creating atmosphere Qur'an. The success of self-regulation is inseparable from the belief in Allah that becomes the greatest power of the individual. Self regulation is also influenced by the level of patience, self-acceptance, and positive thinking.
