Abstract
The problem in this study is what action is appropriated to improve the effectivieness of teaching learning writing. This study aims finding out the effecitiveness of the teaching learning writing using to process approach and drawing media, at the 9 nd grade of WargaJunior High School. This study is an action research and the subjects one were of teachers and thirty students of the 9 nd grade. The study was carried out from September - October 2011 in Warga Junior High School, Surakarta. This research consisted of three cycles. The study involved some teachers and principals which activities consisted of : (1) the early discussion to identify and formulate the problems, unite ideas about the effectiveness of teaching learning-writing in the 9 nd grade, (2) the planning, (3) the implementation of the action, (4) the observation, (5) reflecion, (6) the revision and evaluation, (7) the conslusion of the results. The data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The validity test condicted using triangulation by having and interview to four students and give questionaries to all students. The data analysis technique on the students activities intensity used continous method, while the data on the students learning achievement were analyzed using descriptive statistic. The result of the research is follows: (1) the process approach and the drawing media could improve: (a) the students writing skill up to 14,61 i.e. the first condition was 59,00 and improves to 73,61 (b) the learning motivation up to 35,29% i.e first condition 61,76%, and improves to 97,05%, (c) the attention up to 26,47% i.e first condition 67,64%, and improves to 94,11%, and (d) the self confidance up to 44,12% i.e first condition 47,05%, and improves to 91,17%: (2) Warga Junior High School students activities , Surakarta had improved after the implementation of the action 44,12.% i.e first condition 47,05% improves to 91,17%: (3) the teacher can construct the design of action research on writing learning teaching using the process approach and drawing media: (4) the students of Warga Junior High School could achieve the success of the action with an absorption level of minimum standard after the tird cyclus (6 meetings): (5) the school principals, teacher, and students respond the implementation of the teaching learning using process approach and drawing media positinely.
