Abstract
This study aims to describe improving the activity of learning mathematics by using computer-based learning media in grade VIII G students of SMP Negeri 17 Surakarta academic year 2016/2017. This study is a classroom action research. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, field notes, documentation and tests. Data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing (data verification). The validity of data using triangulation of investigators. The results of the study increased the activity of learning mathematics (1) Student activity in learning lesson from the initial condition (10.00%) increased to (65.00%), (2) Student activity in doing the problem from the initial condition (15.00%) increased to (70,00%), (3) Student activity in increasing question from initial condition (15,00%) increased to (75,00%), (4) Student activity in the group from initial condition (20.00%) increased to (75.00%). Based on this description can be concluded computer-based learning media can increase learning activities of mathematics.
