Abstract

Adolescence is a time when there will be many problems that arise, especially problems with peers. The number of problems that arise is not realized that the problem must be solved independently or seek help to others. According to Dian Sasmita as Director of Sahabat Kapas Solo, there are 25 reports of harassment. Teenagers who have experienced bullying are often hesitant to tell their parents and other close people. Help-seeking behavior is an advantage for victims to cope their problems and find good solutions either in psychological, affective, health service and social organizations. This study aims to describe about help-seeking behavior among students who involved in bullying. The researcher used qualitative narrative descriptive approach. Data collection methods in this study is semi-structured interviews based on 6 students consist of 4 boys and 2 girls that have involved in Perundungan. Students were obtained from Guidance Counseling’s teacher that have many cases about bullying at school. The results shows that the problems faced by students who involved in bullying were ridiculed about parents’ work and ridiculed about physical look as much as 66.66%, asking money with violence as much as 16.66%, the slander of 16.66%, find difficulties in subjects as much as 33.33%. The part who involved problem were 100% friends and older siblings at school. Type of help-seeking that they took were adaptive. Help-seeking behavior that they choose were informal source (friends and older people) and semi-formal source by telling teachers and informal source by telling their parents, relatives, and friends.
