Abstract
Background: Posyandu have a important role as an activity to watch child growth. The amount of child growth degree faces obstacle of growth can be seen in a short time (a month) and can be searched about its causes more, and as soon as possible can be made a plan to take a tackling action. The causes of child weight can be seen on growth curve as result of periodic measuring on the Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS). It can’t be denied that growth checking has a close relation with posyandu. Carefulness, knowledge, and skill of the posyandu provider on doing antropometri measuring is so important, because this case concern on child growth. This research aims to know the relation between provider knowledge degree about antropometri measuring with skill on measuring child’s growth in poyandu Karangasem district Laweyan subdistrict. Method: of this research is quantitative research with cross sectional plan. Population of this research is all the posyandu provider in Karangasem distict as many as 94 respondents. The sample of research as much as 48 respondents used proportional random sampling technique. The measure tools used to know the degree of knowledge is questionnaire, and used checklist to know the skill. The result of research: shows that skillful respondent and have high knowledge degree with percentage (88, 5%), low knowledge degree with percentage (59, 1%), meanwhile respondents that is competent and have high knowledge degree with percentage (11,5%), and low knowledge degree with percentage (40,9%). The conclusion: from this research is there is relation on knowledge degree of provider about antropometri measuring with skill on measuring kid’s growth in posyandu Karangasem district Laweyan subdistrict (p < 0, 05).
