Abstract

Book of Learning Arabic language in this research is using scientific approach, but slightly it does not seem scientific look-alike, in reserving learning materials. In other words, there is no scientific activity in terms of providing materials and examination for evaluation. Some Arabic terms used in the book are not kind of academic words, exam provided are lack of suitability, pictures given are less-related to the topics and does not give a proper illustration convincingly. From those aforementioned problems taken research question as: How is scoring value of book of Learning Arabic language curriculum 2013 grade XII published by Religious ministry affairs on perspective of National Education of Standard Affairs (BSNP)? How is scoring value of book of teaching Arabic language curriculum 2013 grade XII published by Religious ministry affairs on perspective of Rusydi Ahmad Thu’aimah? What are pros and cons on evaluation result of book of learning Arabic language curriculum 2013 grade XII published by Religious ministry affairs? The purpose of this research is to acknowledge scoring of book of learning Arabic language curriculum 2013 grade XII published by Religious ministry affairs on instrument perspective of BSNP and Rusydi Ahmad Thu’aimah along with pros and cons from the book. This is a qualitative research along with library research, collecting data method used is documentation, and data analysis is content analysis, examined through validity by triangulation technique. The result is that of book of teaching Arabic language on perspective of BSNP instrument has four components; graphic suitability component with 90.7%, language suitability component with 87.5%, content suitability component with 69.4% and providing suitability component with 66.6%. Scoring on learning book by Rusydi Ahmad Thu’aimah has four components; assisting data, CD audio, movies, and cards. Three other scoring are language creativity component with 71.4%, arranging learning book component with 60.0%, and content of learning book component with 56.8%. The pros of the book are on depth of content and material suits, logic fusha language, harmonic design of color, readable alphabet, proportional margin, and arranged page. While the cons are less scientific materials, inconsistency on punctuation of alphabet (harakat), unsuitability on picture with theme issued, no general evaluation in each chapter, providing materials, index, glossary, CD audio of listening section (istima’) and list of transliteration on Arab Latin, and less providing Indonesian culture.
