Abstract

Coaching is an effort to build meaning to take action to move towards a better direction. Morals are an embedded trait in the soul that causes various kinds of deeds easily and easily, without the need for thought and judgment. A well-nourished morality will have a great influence on a child's personality. The purpose of moral coaching students is so that students can distinguish where good morals and bad morals and accustomed to perform good morals akhlak. The focus of this research is about the morality of students in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta. The main problem in this research is how the implementation of morality students in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta and what are the supporting factors and inhibitors in moral development in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta. The purpose of this study ntuk describe the implementation of moral coaching students and know the supporting factors and inhibitors of morality of students in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta. This research is a field study and data source used through interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used by researcher in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. The conclusions that can be taken in this research are: (1) Student morality in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta aims to make students accustomed to good behavior. (2) In the implementation of moral guidance, teachers apply several methods such as habituation through dhuha prayer, congregational prayer, infaq and takziah. In addition, the teacher also tries to be a good example for students and provide advice through personal approach when the student is in trouble. (3) The supporting factor of moral character building in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta is the synergy between headmaster, teacher of Islamic Education and teacher of Counseling Guidance. While the factor inhibiting the implementation of morality students in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta is a means of infrastructure, family and environmental influences of students.
