Abstract
The research is aimed to find the elements of discourse configuration in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows and to identify the aspects of narrative story in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. In collecting the data, the writer uses observation method and documentation in getting the data Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. To identify the elements of discourse configurations of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows the researcher uses cohesion as follows; Substitution, Ellipsis, Reference, Conjunction, Lexical Cohesion. To identify the aspects of narrative in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows the researcher uses narrative structure as follows; Character, Plot, Setting, Point of View, Theme. The result shows that the element configuring narrative discourse Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows are substitution, ellipsis, reference, conjunction, and of lexical cohesion. The aspects of narrative story found in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows are character, plot, setting, point of view, and theme.
