Abstract
The purpose of this study is to improve students’ learning activeness and creativity in solving mathematics problem, using kooperatif learning type Snowball Throwing. This is a classroom action research. The data collection was conducted through observation, interview, test, field notes, and documentation. The data analysis techniques involving reduction of the data, presentation of the data, and deriving the conclusion. For the validity of the data, it was used the triangulation method and investigator. The results showed that there were increase of students’ learning activeness and creativity in solving mathematics problem. The increase of students’ learning activeness, viewed from the indicators of activeness: 1) paying attention to the teacher in the learning activity from 41,67% to be 91,67%, 2) asking to teacher from 8,33% to be 33,33%, 3) answering the teacher’s question from 16,67% to be 58,33%, and 4) answering the friend’s questions from 0% to be 33,33%. The increase of creativity in solving mathematics problem, viewed from the indicators of creativity: 1) fluency, from 4,67% to be 45,83%, and 2) elaboration, from 4,67% to be 33,33%.
