Abstract
Indonesia’s participation of international test was Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which can be used as a reference to measure the extent of student’s competitive ability in globalization era the matter of education. This study was purposed to produce a valid and practical PISA content Quantity questions which also has potential effects to measure student’s mathematical reasoning ability. The method used in this study was a research and development method. This study required two phases, they were preliminary and formative evaluation includes self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group and field test. Researcher gathered the data collection techniques based on walkthrough, document, test, and interview. After going through one-to-one, small group, and validation with descriptive, researcher examined the question in the field test to the IX grade students of SMP N 1 Jatiroto. The result of the overall study was 68,3 of Students’ average mathematics reasoning ability, can be categorized into good mathematics reasoning ability in spite of they who has sufficient and less well of mathematical reasoning ability. However, these results can be concluded that the development of PISA model question categorized into a valid and practical criteria and also has a potential effect towards student’s reasoning ability.
