Abstract

The major problem of this study is comparison between novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and its movie version Pride and Prejudice by Joe Wright based on structural approach. This research is qualitative method research. The object of the research are the novel and the movie entitled Pride and Prejudice. The primary data source is Pride and Prejudice itself and the secondary data sources are the other sources related to the analysis such as articles from internet, journals etc. the technique of the data collection is documentation research. The technique of data analysis is descriptive analysis. The result of the study reveals there are many similarities and differences between novel and its movie version from characters and characterization, setting, plot and theme.
