Abstract

The research aims to know; (1) the influence of student’s interest in English achievement of second year study of SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. (2) the influence of parent’s support in English achievement of second year study of SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. (3) and the influence of student interest and parent’s support in English achievement of second year study of SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. Research place has been done in SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. This Research is including research descriptive quantitative method. The writer uses two instruments are questionnaire and document from the students daily test. From the result of the questionnaire and students daily test, the writer obtain the data to be analysis. The result of this research show that: Student’s interest influences English achievement of second year study of SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. (1) It base on assess of the coefficients regression student’s interest influence toward the English achievement increase shown by value up equal to 0,302. Support by significance influenced student’s interest toward English Achievement of t test equal to 3,631, while t table equal to 2,021 or 3,631>2,021. (2) Parent’s support influences English achievement of second year study of SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. It base on assess of the coefficients regression parent’s support influence toward the English achievement increase shown by value up equal to 0,376. Support by significance influenced parent’s support toward English Achievement of t test equal to 3,957, while t table equal to 2,021 or 3,957>2,021. (3) Student’s interest and parent’s support together influences English achievement of second year study of SMP Negeri 3 Jiken-Blora. It base on assess of the result of F test equal to 4,608, while F table equal to 2,840 or 4,608 > 2,840.
