Abstract

Sukowati Park in Sragen has become an integral part of local community life, but its potential to support mental health has not been fully realized. This research aims to redesign the park into a mental health park by applying the concept of a healing environment. The research method used is a qualitative approach using observation, interview and literature study techniques. Research findings show that factors such as accessibility, safety, a variety of natural features, and green spaces are important in creating an environment that supports mental health. The redesign of Sukowati Park incorporates these elements by introducing meditation areas, eco-friendly walking paths and reflection spaces. The application of the healing environment concept aims to create a calming atmosphere and support the mental healing process. These results can make an important contribution to urban planning that is more inclusive and respectful of people's mental health.
