Abstract
Overseas students are students who continue their education at tertiary institutions and live in a different area from their place of origin. In a new environment, students face many pleasant and unpleasant events. The phenomenon of overseas students feels that their life has not met their expectations, they are unhappy and they have not been able to achieve their desires in life. So it can be concluded the importance of subjective well-being in overseas students or also called subjective well-being (SWB). Various factors can influence SWB, for example social support and resilience. The aim of this research is to see the relationship between social support and resilience on SWB in overseas students. This research uses quantitative correlational. The population of this study were overseas students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The sample for this research was 99 overseas students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection method uses the social support scale, resilience scale and SWB scale. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis. The research results show that there is a significant positive relationship between social support and SWB and grades (r = 0.677; sig = 0.000; p <0.05). There is a significant positive relationship between resilience and SWB, which is indicated by the value (r = 0.528; sig = 0.000; p<0.05). The level of SWB in overseas students is high, the level of social support in overseas students is high, and the level of resilience in overseas students is also relatively high. The effective contribution was 46%, with details of social support having a greater influence, namely 39.9% and resilience at 6.7%.
