Abstract

Islamic education as a process of directing a person to a right life is important to be given to students, especially in anticipation of a moral crisis which is a negative impact of the globalization era. Al Firdaus School Sukoharjo is one of the Islamic schools in Sukoharjo. The name Al Firdaus itself is taken from one of the names of heaven in Islam. Al Firdaus School Sukoharjo is committed to providing quality, humanist, inclusive, and non-discriminatory Islamic education. The background of this research focuses on the need to redesign Al Firdaus School Sukoharjo with an Islamic concept approach. In the context of education, it is important to create a learning environment that not only meets physical standards, but also reflects Islamic values. The purpose of this research is to find out how to design a school with facilities and infrastructure that meet the standards and understand the application of Islamic concepts. The planning concept analysis is carried out by considering aspects of accessibility, lighting, and circulation, as well as the application of landscape that reflects the image of heaven in Islam. The result is expected to create an optimal learning environment and in accordance with Islamic values.
