Abstract
The circulation and conservation of narcotics and dangerous drugs is a serious issue in Indonesia, affecting all demographics, including children. Data from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Health Research Center of the University of Indonesia show a significant increase in the prevalence of narcotic and illicit drug use over the years. To address this problem, the report combines literature studies, field observations, and interviews to gain a deeper understanding of rehabilitation, the facilities needed, and user characteristics. The design of the narcotics rehabilitation building adopts a contextual architectural approach, featuring a wooden facade and a "slicer" cut design. It applies a composite building concept to optimize functionality, accessibility, and interaction between users and the community. The facility aims to provide an environment that supports recovery, helps individuals stop using narcotics, and facilitates their social and economic reintegration. The benefits of this rehabilitation facility include improved physical and mental health for users, reduced drug-related crime, increased public awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, and decreased stigmatization of individuals with addiction issues. Thus, narcotics rehabilitation facilities play a crucial role in supporting sustainable recovery and enhancing the quality of life for users.
