Abstract

Monotonous daily activities frequently coupled with various challenges can lead to feelings of saturation. To counteract this ennui, a common solution is to travel to natural tourist destinations. The beauty of nature, with its diverse topographies such as hills, valleys, and more, offers breathtaking views that can refresh the mind. An attractive destination with stunning topographic variation is the natural tourist area in North Tugu Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency, West Java. However, not everyone can enjoy natural tourism due to the challenging terrain, which requires extra effort to appreciate. Consequently, the concept of Glamping (glamorous camping) has emerged as a luxurious and practical alternative to enjoy the beauty of nature without the discomforts typically associated with traditional camping. Observing this trend, the natural tourist area in North Tugu Village, particularly the Mount Luhur Campsite located in the Ciliwung Tea Plantation, is well-known for its pristine natural beauty and has significant potential to be developed as a Glamping resort destination. The aim of this study is to illustrate the importance of developing accommodations at natural tourist sites to leverage the natural beauty and available facilities. The design process for the Glamping buildings is based on field data to create futuristic conceptual ideas, thereby offering a unique attraction and experience for visitors. It is hoped that the development of Glamping in the Ciliwung Tea Plantation will become a new tourist attraction that draws many visitors and positively impacts the local community by boosting the economy, welfare, and tourism sector.
