Abstract
Traditional markets, such as Sumberlawang Market, have long been important places for people to meet their daily needs. However, with the rise of modern markets, traditional markets have become increasingly marginalized and have gained a negative reputation due to inadequate facilities, poor cleanliness, minimal ventilation, and damaged infrastructure. The redesign of Sumberlawang Market with an Eco-Friendly Building concept aims to improve this image by creating a comfortable, healthy, and economically supportive environment. This approach involves efficient land use, eco-friendly materials, and improvements in air circulation and space. It is hoped that this concept will enhance the competitiveness of traditional markets amidst the proliferation of modern markets.
