Abstract
This research aims to analyze in-depth the dynamics of mental toughness among female soccer athletes at Persis Women. The study employs a qualitative research method with an intrinsic case study approach. The research subjects consist of six individuals, including four athletes, one coach, and one manager. The selection of subjects was based on assessments from the Persis Women team, which identified constraints related to mental toughness. Data collection methods include observation and interviews. The data analysis for this research uses descriptive analysis. The findings of this research reveal that mental toughness constraints among female soccer athletes at Persis Women involve both internal and external factors. Internal factors include a lack of self-confidence, insufficient communication among players, and a lack of achievement motivation among the players, leading to suboptimal performance on the field. Additionally, external factors include training patterns and the absence of professional competitions organized by the national women's soccer federation. Players require official competitions to enhance their skills and boost achievement motivation.
