Abstract
Education is an integral aspect in the human journey to develop the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to succeed in life. Apart from that, education is also something that must be accessible to all groups, including individuals with special needs. With the various conditions of children with special needs, school facilities are something that must be considered in providing education and support that suits the individual needs of these children. In this case, Extraordinary School is a means for children to get a decent education. Boyolali has 1 Extraordinary School which accommodates students in Boyolali. Currently, Extraordinary School Boyolali has several obstacles such as limited classroom space. This is a strong reason for carrying out a redesign. The redesign of SLBN Boyolali using an Architectural Psychology approach is considered the most effective in meeting the psychological needs of students. The objectives of this discussion are: 1. Redesign the Boyolali State Special School to meet standards. 2. Applying the Architectural Psychology approach to the design of the Boyolali State Special School. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of location surveys and literature studies. with the Data Processing Method using information that has been collected and then processed using a qualitative inductive approach. This process involves identifying advantages or other findings found in the field, which are then connected to existing problems to formulate solutions and design optimal designs.
