Abstract
This research aims: (1). What is the structure of the novel Cermin Lara by Nurima Thama. (2). What are the forms of violence in the novel Cermin Lara by Nurima Thama. (3). How to implement the results of research on aspects of violence in the novel Cermin Lara by Nurima Thama in literature learning in high school. This research approach is descriptive qualitative with the object of this research being writing techniques in literary works and their implementation related to bullying in schools. So, it is hoped that after reading this work, students can understand the plot and conflict of a story and can apply it in writing. Apart from that, researchers are trying to provide education on bullying prevention, so that children can anticipate sexual violence in their surrounding environment. The data source is the main data which is the object of research study. In this research, the data source used is the novel Cermin Lara by Nurima Thama, which was published in September 2021. The results of this research show that: (1). Intrinsic elements in a novel discuss plot, theme, plot, setting, setting and characters (2). The violent aspect in this novel discusses cases of physical and verbal bullying, sexual harassment and domestic conflict. (3) Implementation of the violence aspect in the novel Cermin Lara, namely: The function of literature as Literature as Science; as Literary Arts; as Culture: The function of learning literature, teaching literature can help education as a whole if its scope includes four benefits, namely (1) helping language skills, (2) increasing cultural knowledge, (3) developing creativity, taste and initiative, (4) Supporting the formation of character. Benefits of learning literature: (1) sensory skills; (2) reasoning in nature; (3) which is affective in nature. Criteria for Teaching Materials & Learning Outcomes Literature related to bullying in schools. So, it is hoped that after reading this work, students can understand the plot and conflict of a story and can apply it in writing.
