Abstract
The Minister of Education and Culture has started the curriculum of freedom by setting some requirements before learning begins, such as implementing differentiated learning and assessment. The research question for this study is "How is the implementation of biology class X in SMA Negeri Mojogedang based on the Merdeka curriculum in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year?" The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of biology class X in SMA Negeri Mojogedang based on the Merdeka curriculum in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This study uses qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques such as interviews with school principals, vice principals, and teachers, observations of teaching, and documentation, which includes teaching modules and assessments used by the biology teacher in class X. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis. The results of the study show that the planning of biology class X in SMA Negeri Mojogedang is in the good category with an average of 73.75%. The implementation of biology class X based on the Merdeka curriculum in SMA Negeri Mojogedang in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year is in the good category with an average of 67.5%. The evaluation of the implementation of biology class X in SMA Negeri Mojogedang is in the satisfactory category with an average of 60%. To improve the quality of education in the Merdeka curriculum at SMA Negeri Mojogedang, further training and support may be required. As a result, this can support the achievement of government programs in achieving high educational standards.
