Abstract
Literature is a depiction of humans' efforts to adapt and their efforts to change society. Literature is believed to have the power to shape a nation's civilization. The aim of literature taught in schools is to form language skills and increase knowledge both in general and literary appreciation. One example of a literary work is a novel. There are many life values in the novel that can be emulated. The novel Suluh Rindu is relevant to the current social situation. In this digital era, many problems are found related to moral values and religiosity. The aims of this research are (1) to analyze the building blocks of the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy (2) to analyze the moral values in the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, and (3) the relevance of the research results to literature learning in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data in this research is in the form of researchers' notes in the form of words, phrases or sentences. The data source in this research is a document in the form of a literary novel entitled Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The data collection technique used in this research is the reading and note-taking technique. The reading technique is done by reading the entire novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Meanwhile, recording is carried out by recording data in the form of words, sentences and paragraphs that indicate the content of moral values and religiosity in the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Increasing the degree of trustworthiness in research using triangulation of analysis results. The data analysis technique in this research uses hermeneutic reading techniques, namely reading, note-taking and drawing conclusions. The research results in the form of moral values that can be found in the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy are classified into three forms, namely: 1) Human relationships with God, 2) Human relationships with themselves, and 3) Human relationships with other humans. The theme in this novel is the struggle to gain Allah's approval. The characters in this novel include Ridho, Syifa, Diana, and many more. The plot in this novel is a forward plot. It can be concluded that the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy is dominated by moral values in the form of human relationships with other humans. This is reinforced by the opinion of Mrs. Siti Amiroh, an Indonesian language teacher in Boyolali Regency who stated that the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy is relevant to literature learning in high school.
