Abstract

Background: On Jalan Dr Radjiman, Kauman, Surakarta there is a pedestrian path with a width of between 2 and 3 meters, but many of them are misused for street vendors and vehicle parking. Supporting facilities and infrastructure for people with disabilities exist at several points and are not well maintained. There needs to be a change in the restructuring of the area because the tourism potential in the area is very large. Research objective: Making Jalan Dr Radjiman, Kauman, Surakarta a new city center with a sustainable concept, reducing the negative impression that is often troubling when building a citywalk, and building an area that is friendly to children and people with disabilities. Research method: This research design uses data collection techniques of field observation/survey, interviews/interviews with road users and local residents, literature study and archival/document study. Meanwhile, the analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis and spatial analysis. Research results: Designing Radjiman Citywalk as a tourist destination for the city of Surakarta.
