Abstract
Employees in a company are required to have good performance. To improve performance, various things are needed, including providing an appropriate workload and reducing work stress levels in employees. This research aims to determine the relationship between workload and work stress with the performance of Burjo food stall employees. This research is a correlational quantitative research. This research was conducted on a sample of 83 employees who worked at least 8 hours a day at the Burjo food stall in the Muhammadiyah University area of Surakarta. The research results show that there is a very significant relationship between workload and work stress and the performance of burjo employees in the UMS area, so that the major hypothesis can be accepted. Workload (X1) has a very significant negative relationship with employee performance and work stress (X2) has a significant negative relationship with employee performance. Effective contributions show that workload (26.44%) has a greater relationship than work stress (8.56%) on the performance of Burjo employees.
