Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of financial education in the family, financial literacy, and peer groups on the financial self-efficacy of high school students Batik 1 Surakarta. The method used in this study is quantitative with ex post facto research design. Data collection techniques using questionnaires measured by likert scale. Data analysis techniques using a variety of tests including instrument test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis test, and coefficient of determination. The population in this study were all students in grade 12 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta totaling 427 students. The sample used as many as 206 students. The results of this study show that financial education in the family, financial literacy, and peer groups together have a positive and significant effect on financial self-efficacay. If financial self-efficacy is not influenced by the three variables, then the students have a very wasteful behavior, always wanting to imitate their peers. In this case, it is called a financial mental block, a state in which there are obstacles in a person in managing their finances properly. Mental blocks can occur due to several things, namely wrong relationships, how to manage family finances in the past, lack of financial information.
