Abstract

Tourism is the activity of traveling, whether carried out by individuals or groups. Where the aim is none other than recreation, learning about the uniqueness offered by tourist attractions or just to develop yourself. The problem in this research is what is the level of potential for tourist attractions in Tangerang City and how is the development of tourism objects in Tangerang City. The aim of this research is to analyze the tourism potential in Tangerang City and analyze the development plans for tourist attractions in Tangerang City. The method in this research is that the author uses a type of qualitative research which is deepened by interviews with tourist attraction managers. The results of this research show that there are 3 levels of potential which are measured based on internal potential and external potential. Tourist attractions with high internal potential are the Cipondoh Lake tourist attraction (nature tourism), Pasar Lama Culinary Area (culinary tourism), Laksa Culinary Area (culinary tourism), Boen San Bio Vihara (religious tourism) and Boen Tek Bio Temple (religious tourism) . Medium internal potential is a single elephant park tourist attraction (artificial tourism). As well as low internal potential, namely Tangerang City Square (artificial tourism) and Al-Azhom Grand Mosque (religious tourism). There are no tourist attractions that have high external potential, because Tangerang City is not a tourist city, but an industrial city. Medium external potential is the Boen Tek Bio Temple tourist attraction, and low external potential is Cipondoh Lake, Gajah Tunggal Park and Boen San Bio Vihara.
