Abstract
Mistakes in breastfeeding, breast care, lack of frequency and duration of breastfeeding and lack of nutritional intake are the causes of a lack of breast milk production. Attitude and knowledge factors can influence correct breastfeeding behavior. So, breastfeeding mothers need correct knowledge and attitudes about breastfeeding in order to implement it. The level of knowledge of breastfeeding mothers in Jumapolo District which is categorized as lacking is 53% and maternal behavior is 40% lacking. This research uses an observational method with a cross sectional approach. The population was 175 with a sampling method, namely simple random sampling, of 62 respondents from breastfeeding mothers 0-6 months who met the inclusion criteria. Data collection was carried out by filling in a questionnaire that had been tested for reliability with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.836 for the knowledge questionnaire, 0.802 for the attitude questionnaire, and 0.806 for the behavior questionnaire. For each variable there are 4 questions on indicators of care to facilitate breastfeeding, 6 questions on how to breastfeed, 4 questions on frequency and duration of breastfeeding and 5 questions on maternal food consumption related to breastfeeding. Analysis of relationship test data using Spearman rank with the help of SPSS 26. Based on statistical tests, it is known that the majority of breastfeeding mothers (62.90%) have sufficient knowledge, (69.35%) have adequate attitudes and (64.52%) have adequate behavior. Enough. There is a relationship between attitudes and maternal behavior regarding breastfeeding (p=0.002) and there is no relationship between knowledge and behavior of breastfeeding mothers (p=0.308). There is a relationship between attitudes and maternal behavior regarding breastfeeding. There is no relationship between knowledge and maternal behavior regarding breastfeeding. It is recommended that community health center officers actively provide outreach regarding maternal food consumption related to breastfeeding.
