The measurement instrument used in this study was a scale of academic motivation, self-regulation and social support, while the data analysis technique used regression analysis. Apart from regression analysis to test the major hypothesis, the minor hypothesis is tested with partial correlation. The results of the regression analysis showed a very significant correlation value between academic motivation, self-regulation, social support and academic procrastination in doing thesis (R = 0.633, p = 0.000 or p <0.01) that it can be interpreted that there is a very significant correlation between academic motivation, self-regulation, social support and academic procrastination. The results of the first minor correlation test between academic motivation and academic procrastination show that there is a significant positive relationship between academic motivation and academic procrastination. The results of the second minor correlation test between self-regulation and academic procrastination show that there is a significant negative relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination. In general, the effective contribution of academic motivation, self-regulation and social support to academic procrastination when working on thesis is 40%. More specifically, the effective contribution of academic motivation to academic procrastination is 22.94% (r = 0.479, p = 0.000, p < 0.01), self-regulation is 5.62% (r = -0.237, p = 0.000, or p < 0.01) , and social support of 3.20% (r= -0.179, p = 0.000 or p < 0.01).
